White Rice (3 Cups Uncooked)
Ingredients
555g uncooked long-grain white rice
1100g water
5g salt (optional)
Method
Bring water and salt to a rolling boil.
Add rice, stir once to prevent sticking.
Return to boil, then reduce to 250F on induction stove and cover tightly.
Cook 15–17 minutes.
Remove from heat, keep covered, rest 5–10 minutes.
Fluff with a fork and serve.
Notes
Lid seal: If your lid doesn’t seal well, reduce water by about 50g.
Altitude: At high altitude, add 50–100g extra water and a couple extra minutes of cooking time.
Resting: Don’t skip it—the resting period redistributes moisture and prevents a wet top layer with crunchy bottom.
