Black Eye Pea Pods¶
Ingredients¶
- Black eye pea pods (1 pound)
- Onion (1/2)
- Garlic (3 cloves)
- Crushed Tomatoes (1/2 can)
- Canola oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation¶
- Wash the pea pods.
- Chop edges off of pea pods.
- Cut pea pods into 1 inch segments.
- Chop onion
- Mince garlic
- Fry onion and garlic with oil until it is golden-transparent.
- Add the pea pods to the pan and wait until it is thoroughly cooked.
- Add tomatoes, salt, and garlic.
- Cook for another 5 minutes.
